Hello all. I hope everyone is busy with work. It is that time of the year. I will try and jump start December BOTM. A nice greenwing teal drake. We have a lot of these little guys in Texas. Lets see some more posts, Paul.

  7. Well I tried taxidermy for the first time 6 years ago. I just finished my first duck/mount by myself. I made a few mistakes that I won't make on the next mount (legs a little far back, eye didn't line up with the artificial head after it was glued in place and a couple other small things). I'm happy with my sewing job as it seems hidden to me, and the fact I skinned it without putting any holes in the skin but fleshing was a whole other story lol...

Hello Matt. You should be real happy with your first attempt at mounting by yourself. Nice job ! They get easier the more you do. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing, Paul.

We're still deer hunting so no duck mounting right now. Here's a oldie from last year.
