    They look like female gorilla skulls to me, and the info I could find on the photo is that it is circa 1927, in Washington D.C., so the Smithsonian would be my guess. Neat photo, I'm curious to see if anyone here recognizes it.

    Have to agree with the ape nomenclature. Not sure of species though they do seem to be females or juvenile. Males would be much heavier and robust.

    And in those white cabinets to the guy's right are drawers and drawers of more of the same.
