Nice pics! I'm headed back from South Florida now and we had a blast literally. We wrecked most of these birds as they were feet down in the spread at about 15 yards. 3 man limit of BWT, Ringers and Pintail in about an hour. Saw literally thousands of birds yesterday afternoon.

Trapper2016 Thanks for this awesome forum!

You guys down in the southern swamps, especially florida, have a set of iron b@lls on you. I am in WV, and theoretically i know there are no alligators in our rivers/lakes, but i still cringe at the thought. So every time i see you guys down south wading into the water, i get anxiety just watching it. Alligators scare the ever loving crap out of me. And florida, for as beautiful as it is, is the worst of all due to all the exotics that have escaped and been let loose. Heck, before long, Florida is probably gonna have a population of saltwater crocs from all the pets that have been released. But beautifiul ducks. I have always wanted a blue wing teal to mount. They are such gorgeous birds. Congrats!! B@llls of stell getting into that swamp water i tell you, b@lls of steel.

Haha it's funny you say that Trapper because those waders came off and I swam my pirogue across a canal full of gators twice. Once with the gear and my dad then back across to get my buddy and my waders then again on the way back out lol. It was an eventful day to say the least. The canals in South Florida are bottomless limerock pits that you have to have a boat to cross. There are some sure enough dinosaurs down here too.

Took my lab out for his first hunt. The water got pretty choppy on the bay but it worked out. Very enjoyable watching ones dog work. Very gentle with the birds too. That was a big plus. I was at a friends thursday and Friday hunting. He has a high dollar dog that ruined the birds. Needs a shock collar on it. It was a long day loading a 13' zodiac with my wife, dog, decoys and other things. It was cramped and had to run an hour to our spot. At low tide it's a slippery mess and drops off to over chest wader depth. Found out the hard way.

Been lurking for a while, but thought I'd post some pics and contribute since I have been learning so much from this site, and a few buddies.

    Very nice BDA.
Did you go with a outfitter up in Delaware? I was wanting to go for my sea ducks in about another year, and have already been looking for a good outfitter.

Scoter were in Delaware, and the eider were from MA. Delaware is more reliable for not getting blown out from weather, but don't expect eider. Surfs, common, and oldsquaw are available and less pressured than on the cheaspeake. Both were guided. Shoot me a PM if you want details.

Every year my buddy from WA comes down to grind out the last few days of the season. Saved some spots for the occasion and shot some cool birds. We spent a lotta time hopping cattle ponds looking for booner spooners and doing some targeted extraction.

Built a huge blind for to take a group on a hunt that was auctioned for a charity-was all good except one guy missing my dog by about 3' at 25 yards.

Luckily buried the ranger and a 100 hp tractor after the hunt.

Last day we slept in and set up for an eve hunt on a marsh that we've been letting em build on all year. Gotta say-sure enjoyed setting up at 3 and being done at 5:30.

For a guy from MN seeing that many prime birds is just a tease. I will definitely have to travel for a shovelor and some of the others if I want mountable birds.

And good on you for the charity hunt!

Yep brazosboyt is the duck porn king. The birds that you and your group get down there are foreign to us up here at the other end of the country, well at least as far as the coloration goes.
