Lots of pheasants!
It's nice not to have to worry about degreasing....
Lookit them roosters will ya!!?? Those quail are second to none also!!
Cheri you knocked it out of the park with your pheasants. Beautiful work.
Great looking roosters they are my favorite birds to hunt and mount, those were the first real hunts I went on as a boy in Michigan they're still good memories.
I used to pheasant hunt with my dad on a huge farm in Modesto,Ca. They had 100's of acres and released their birds onto the land so it was like hunting in the wild. Some of the best memories I had with my dad!
Nice Cheri! I really like the Quail piece.
I want you all to notice the Research Manikins Pepper grass on this bird. I still have a stash ................. ;D
Wow beautiful every one..great start to a new year
Just gorgeous work guys and gals.
Haven't seen you for a while Jay. Beautiful sage grouse!!
Cheri, if you dont mind me asking, what colors do you use to paint your pheasant legs. I just cant get that color that looks good too me. Obviously its a grey color, but any special color mixing you do? Thanks. Terry
Thanks Nate , They always seem to have those bad spots on the primaries... even if they are not broken . You can groom them out and they come right back Big bird hits the ground hard.
I waiting to see Cheri's paint schedule!!
I use neutral gray and add some cocoa brown together and lightly mist the legs. What is your paint schedule Jay?
Ya me too . But if they are dark you can get away with a mist of white. Chocolate over the toes and maybe some umber on the bottom of the foot.and a mist up the back of the leg.
Just another finish work Friday!
