attaching deer skull to panel

    Looking for a good way to attach europien mount to panel, didn't find anything on the search, thanks for any ideas.

    you can put a wing nut through the board and in to the spinal hole in the back of the skull. it will kick the skull out on an angel. or glue a piece of wood to the top of the skulls mouth. pre drill 2 holes and run your two screws through the back of the board in to the wood and the skull.

    Drill a 1/16" hole in the back of the skull. Snip off the pedicals on each side of the orbit so that it will pull snugly up to the panel. Use a 2 1/2" dry wall screw to attach. When it snugs, STOP. Overtightening will strip out the hole you drilled in the skull. I've done hundreds this way, and never had any issues.

  8. Like Joey, I use a single screw for deer and antelope and for elk I switch to a toggle bolt

    I put one screw into the thick bone just below the spinal hole, which holds it tight. I also put a second screw into the skull between the middle of the teeth to keep it from spinning. Never had any issues.
