I have a Quebec fleshing machine that needs a little TLC. It seems that over time the brass guards have been worn down a tad causing the radius of the guard to have a slight "dent" nearest the blade. This causes one part to cut more than the rest, and if I'm not careful things get ugly. The guards are bolted on using only one bolt. Has anyone ever replaced those brass guards with the ones McKenzie sells? The Dakota V has an upgrade kit that looks like it might work, but thought maybe some of you have tried it. Thanks!

You can make them work, you may have to drill and tap a different hole, especially the right side if it is a Quebec Pro like pictured below. If it is a Quebec lite it is going to be tougher to get them to mount correctly.
