Gander Mountain going out of business

    Good riddance. Made all of us taxidermists remove our mounts (at least at the store near me) and refused to give us a reason. I prefer to patronize my local mom and pop stores anyway.

    O.K. lastest info is they may still be around but bought out by someone else. Still won't step into the store.

    I alway vote with my discretionary income.

    I went there to check on sales.....what a joke. I found in the fishing department several rods with new stickers and the prices raised from $40 to $60. Then they give you 15% off on almost all Gander merchandise. The majority of the store was 10% off... I'll wait for a couple of weeks before I go back to let the % drop. The store employees informed me that they were bought out by "Camping World".

    A guy on one of the fishing forums said the going out of business prices were higher than some of the normal on sale prices.
