It was an awesome mount! Glad I got to meet you in person JP.

Since JP's gonna be Modest, I'll brag on him. That Widgeon won Best of Category in Professional!!!! Can't wait to see what you bring next year!

Good Morning Brooke and be it known that Brooke took a First Place ribbon with her Karate Woodie!! Great mount Brooke

  4. Thank you, It came as a little bit of a shock. We had 25 or 26 birds in the category and the top five where all real nice. When I looked at Brooks woodduck I thought it had BOC.

It was nice meeting you two and I'll be back next year for some more fun.

love the widgeon...and composition...simple base but tells the whole story....personally I would have done something with the feet...that close to landing..maybee open more...putting on brakes.......look to be tucked as in taking off.....but thats just mo....looks great!

  8. Thank you! I appreciate all feedback.
My guys in the shop said the same thing about the feet but all my reference shows them semi closed up.
I have photos of them coming in with the tail touching the water and the feet are still tucked.

  9. Here's the pic they took at the show.

Thanks, it was a kids first duck. It's so rewarding to mount a duck in full plumage for a kid instead of those juvenile pin feathered ones.

That is probly the best BWT I've ever seen. Usually the blue ones, (upper wings coverts?) are ratty looking.

    Nicely done Spence
