Bird smell

    This bird arrived starting to smell. What is my best option to keep the feathers intact?

    Soak in alcohol to tighten up skin around feathers. Unless it's a rare bird it might not be worth the frustration. That is unless you really enjoy doing something challenging. If you haven't already do so let the owner of it know.

    Also depends on what it was. Some just smell like ass.
    Any sea duck , merganser, buffies, goldeneye, coastal redheads.
    I'd the vent area is turning green then yeah, you got a problem though
