Hi all I am having problem with resin go not going off ( using 2% catalyst ) when I lay it across silicone mold that I have done . I am laying it across silicone mold to keep the silicone mold in shape . I used same batch of resin in fiberglass mold and it has gone off no problem could it be due to areaction between silicone and resin ? thanks ...Des.

I don't know why your resin wouldn't kick but try this. Get some bondo, add a little resin to make it pourable and add tube catalyst so it will kick pretty quick (based on the color). Pour a thin batch of thinned bondo over the silicone and let it kick and cool slightly then build the remainder of your mother mold with glass and cloth. I will bet money that the bondo will kick fine against the silicone.
