Making my Sable- Sable Again

    What would be the best way to darken my sable mount. My pelt was stuck in Zimbabwe for over two years. When it got mounted in South Africa from a quality taxidermist, they got the hide to look good and were able to save it ,but its nowhere near the color, the markings are exact but the two year salt dry faded the color. I would love to darken this Wild Matetsi bull up again.

    i bet its a different cape. there are two color phases of them

    I also bet its a different cape ,salt will not fade hair, try hair dye, it can be done

    Its the same cape as the markings are identical just not the same color.

    My sable was a lighter color when it got here as well, I don't know what happens over there but it does happen.

    I've been dyeing sable with this for many years it works great

    It came out great...Love the color darkened it up now if i could find the rust color for the back of the ears!

    Yellow ochre buckskin tan with a hint of mars red will get you close

    I like to use some of Jonas custom paints.
    Dark Gold # 19-1011 is a perfect match in my opinion.
