    Hi WA,
There's no other way than to ship it with air cargo or by sea (if you have enough time!)
it's not that easy and it will not be cheap, I can't lie about that fact.
The best is if you deal with a specialized transport company, they are able to also help you with all the paper work.
Check it out early enough to prevent stress....
Good luck and all best! Would be great to welcome you in Salzburg!

Dear taxidermists from outside of Europe,
Please study carefully the ETC® rules & regulations, for not getting in troubles on place!
They differ in many aspects from other competitions.....e.g. mounts entered at the WTC (actual or previous)
are not eligible! Furthermore every entry must be pre-registered, spontaneous registrations on place will not
    be possible.
Thanks and good luck to all!

I could not be more excited for this show! After looking at previous entries/winners I know that the Europeans excel at small bird work and I'm going to have fierce competition; all the more reason to go! I have long enjoyed the beautiful song bird work that comes out of Europe and the artistry of the compositions. Not to mention the stellar mammal, fish and reproduction work! The seminars alone are a reason to travel to (beautiful) Austria. I truly look forward to going to learn and meet some of the people creating work I've long been admiring from afar.

Additionally, it looks like a lot of North Americans are headed to ETC this year. From my group of comrades, I know that Alicia Goode, Ken Walker, Olivia Miseroy -- and about 5 or 6 of my students will be coming. If any Americans have questions about getting a passport, permits, where to stay or what it's like in Austria send me an email at [email protected] I travel internationally very often and would be happy to help. Austria is extremely easy to get around (I was just there a month ago), very safe and most everybody speaks English. This is a very low-stress place to travel and enjoy.

    Travel Tips-
    Where to stay:
    https://www.ecosuitehotel.at/en/start.html ($91 per night)
    http://www.cool-mama.com/en ($140 per night)
Airbnb.com - (I got a 2 bedroom / 2 bath apartment for just $152 per night right by the event! If you've never used this service, it's amazing!)

Book flights on Wednesday -- prices are generally the lowest if you buy them that day.
https://www.kayak.com (great for finding cheap flights)

I hope this helps and I look forward to seeing you all there!

When in Salzberg be sure to eat at the Zum fidelenn Affen (the Crazy Monkey) at Priesterhausgasse 8. We sure love that place and so do the locals for good reason.
