Friends, I am coming to you for help for a fellow taxidermist in need. The Weaver family - Ty, Al, Lori and Lynzi - operate Ty's Taxidermy in Vidor, TX ( https://www.facebook.com/TysTaxidermy). They are very good friends of mine. I have worked in their shop on several occasions and they are just the best people you'd ever have the chance to meet. They'd give you the shirt off their backs.

This shop has been hit very badly by Hurricane Harvey. I spoke to Al this morning and he informed me that their shop was under 5 feet of water. They were preparing to attempt to take a boat inside the shop and see what was left. Their freezers are under water .. the power has been off for days and it is unknown at this point, if there are any capes or hides salvageable. Al is going to try to salvage anything that's left, take it to higher ground and buy some freezers. They had to evacuate quickly and as far as I'm aware, everything below 5' has been lost. Is there anything we can do to help this family? Is TERF still available??

I have set up a Gofundme account for this family. If ANYONE can contribute ANYTHING, please help!! Go to:

God Bless everyone involved in this flood!!

Is not ONE single person from the taxi net able to help out this family? I would be shocked if that were the case! We have to rise up and help those in need .. even those outside our "cliques".. This taxidermy shop has been devastated! Any amount would help!

Check out these photos from the guest room and foyer of this shop. This was as the water was rising... it's now under 5 feet. Can you imagine if your freezers were underneath this?
