Is there a alternate way of tumbling turkeys. I am new to taxidermy and would only be doing one at a time. Or if anyone has any plans on how to make one would be helpful. Thanks.

Here is an alternate way, don't.

Seriously, you can just air/blow dry.

  3. I tumble birds in a drier, make sure heat is off. Put bird in large garbage bag ( I double bag)1/2 full of your tumbling medium. Tumble bird till its dry enough. Works great, I do this with small mammal mounts as well.

I use a BIG plastic tub 2/3 full of corncob grit. Then get out my tumbler(my arm) and move it around.

I use a shop vac with hose on the exit side of vacuum. If you not doing a lot of birds it's fine. May take a bit longer and its hands on but no particles left in the feathers and you can make sure to get all the little places.
