I currently use Wildlife Fur Dressing out of Ceres Calif. They do a great job. However since they are in Calif. I cannot send mountain lions into that state. For years I have sent them to Carolina Fur Dressing. The last two orders I received back form Carolina have had mistakes in the orders and the lead time has been quite long. I thought about using Wildlife Gallery, however I have heard that they hijack the taxidermy work coming into their tannery from Africa, thus stealing the work away form some taxidermists. I dont mean to bad mouth any tannery but its what I have heard???
Can any of you about there provide a recommendation for another good and reputable tannery?

You might check Fur Dressing Express in Houston. I had them do a soft tan on a longhorn backhide for me. They did a great job and it was very reasonable with a very good turnaround time.

Yost Fur Dressing tans Mountain Lion. Usually completed in 2 months from the date received. Visit the website @ yostfurdressing.com.
  4. Wildlife Gallery is also 4-6 month turnaround unless you pay extra for the express tan

H&H did some really nice work on all the cats I send them, the last was a Leopard that came back as soft as can be and soaked up like a wet rag.

George The older I get, the better I was.

Aubrey Young (Old Shaver) has opened a tannery. He was the head shaver at Carolina for years. You might try him.
  7. I second George's suggestion.
