I got a tanned gator skin back from the tannery. Great and very pliable. The customer set it over his chair at home for 2 weeks while out of town and is wondering if it can be rehydrated since it is stiff. I have not seen it but I will go over there in a couple days and would like to be able to help him while I'm there. Is there any hope for this hide?? He would like it to lay flat. Thx Greg.

I contacted my tannery and he suggested soaking it in a tub of warm water and salt. Worked like a charm. A couple hours later, it was soft again. Hope this helps someone in the future.
