Wrinkles in Lake Trout

Discussion in 'Fish Taxidermy' started by big J, Dec 3, 2017.

  1. Mounted a Lake Trout about 3 weeks ago and things seem to be going good until I went to paint it today I noticed wrinkles in the skin at the top of the head, I know those wrinkles was not there when I mounted it and was not there the other day, I don't now what happened maybe when I put the artificial head on and wiped it down with lacquer thinner something happened, what I was wondering has anyone had this problem and how would you go about getting those wrinkles out, its like the skin came apart from the form.

That's what I was thinking too Paul. The lacwuer may have eaten the foam.
  6. It was a Rhinehart body, but I took an iron to it and they came right out, never had that happened before still got me stumped.
