Very nice Brooke your work has gotten really good. First one of the year for me. Really wanted to do a flying mount but had a whole side shot up pretty bad.

slow process waiting for wings to dry -- sort of like watching paint dry

    oh well

it is my 26# gobbler from 2014

don't know which wall this will fit on .... : )

(looks like I need to snag a primary feather this year and do a little surgery on this wing)

Is that an IKEA turkey, Dan? I've seen a video where they mount it in stages like that but I have never attempted it. How the heck do you get time to mount your own turkeys? I've got 3 of mine in the freezer fleshed and ready, heads freeze dried but never seem to find the time.

I have done most of my turkeys, regardless of pose, with wings detached as well as legs, tail and head. This way I can work on it little by little through out the week or month.

    Shawn,
Trying something different on this one. It is huge and I always fight everything when it is all together. So I am trying this one in pieces. : ) So far, so good.

I have been trying to get to this one since I got it. Finally said, enough is enough
I am doing this one this spring. It should turn out well. (Meeting my expectations . . . for a hobby taxi)
I have a couple of other upland game birds on my docket too. : ) The goal is to get the group done by Memorial Day. Ha!!!
    Have a great day!
    Dan

Plus if you do it in pieces it is somewhat easier to fit it in. : )
At least I am trying to convince myself that it is. : ) Hard to find "8" continuous hours free in any day.

Yep, going forward I am going to do all of my turkeys this way too.
