What are some other methods of tanning smaller animals such as skunks, raccoons, animals like that to give them a nice soft feel. I have always brained tanned them but I have some extra hides and I would like to play around with other methods. They would be used as a wall hanger. Thanks in advance!

I've been using for years Rittels EZ100, excellent produce and you can order it from T.A.S.CO..

Lu tan-F, EZ-100, Pro-1, Liqua tan, Para tan, HQ tans, Curatan, Krowtan, Tanz all, Tru bond, and McKenzie tan are all used with success. There is alum tans, synthetic tans, and chrome tans that have use in taxidermy. There are pickle tans, paint on ,rub on, and cream tans, and submersible tans.

Trubond 1000B......the b is very important as it has oils that soften.
Very little breaking required to produce the softness your looking for.
While other tan listed will tan the skin, an addition oiling step will be required.
