My Tiny Project

Discussion in 'Reptile Taxidermy' started by Countryisfun, Jan 31, 2018.

  1. Figured I would post this here, and see what ideas someone might have for me. This is not a reproduction. That's right I skinned, tanned, and made a "form" for this little guy. And yes, that is a pop can tab in front of him for size reference. I just have never finished a turtle/reptile before. I am not in love with his paint job so far. So, any suggestions or ideas on how to finish him are welcome. Thanks in advance! IMG_1724.JPG IMG_1727.JPG IMG_1726.JPG IMG_1728.JPG IMG_1729.JPG

That looks awesome for such a small specimen! I'm a fan of pan pastels for adding color to things.

  5. I haven't been on here in quite a while, so I just thought I would let everyone know. This little guy won me my first blue ribbon and received the "Best of Category-Professional Reptile" at my state's show. Pretty proud of this little guy.
