howdy. I am not happy with a teal mount I did. I finished work 3 weeks ago. Can I soak in water and attempt a redo?

    Thanks in advance... Matt

  2. I would learn from things I did to make you dislike the finished mount then acquire another green wing and mount. Just my thoughts.

Short answer: Probably No. Waterfowl are very difficult to remount - even worse that other birds.
But if it's your own bird and you want to learn a lot about remounts then go for it.

the skins always have the memory of the pose they dried in. although you might get them to somewhat soften up they will never accept the new pose the same as a fresh skin. better off as said earlier, use it as a learning experience and move on to the next bird
