What the heck!

    Got a 100 lb. bag of what I thought was quick setting dental plaster the other day from my usual supplier. Mixed it and waited, and waited, and waited, for it to thicken up to do a half cast of a couple of panfish. Finally started to thicken up after adding a buttload of dry plaster. But after placing the fish in it it took another hour for it to set up. Turned out they gave me the wrong bag of plaster.

    I was able to set it up faster the next time by adding a copious amount of salt. Will get the right bag next time.

    Cecil, you seem to have the worst luck with plaster and mache!

    Yup! But I have very good luck in other areas. So I guess it evens out. :p
