I have a 160” set of whitetail antlers, and I’d thought I’d give replica making a shot. Approximately how much silicone rubber should I need for that kind of project? Also, any pitfalls I need to be aware of?
  2. the amount of silicone you need depends on a few things but you shouldn't need more than a half a gallon or so. I prefer Rebound 25 from Smooth On. Its brushable, and can be turned inside out if you don't make it too thick. you also need a few yards of fiberglass chop mat, and a couple gallons of fiberglass resin. PM me if you need help designing the mold, I just molded a 165" rack and I have a few pictures of the mold construction

I use all Smooth-on products. Dragon skin, Plasti-paste, and 320 casting resin. It’s expensive to get into. Be sure and charge plenty, cause it’s a load of work and frustration!
