Hi guys, so can someone explain the difference between them? When to use what and why. The difference that I've only seen is in the price.

Apoxie Sculpt is a two part modeling compound while modeling clay is a plasticine oil based non drying clay or a water based air drying clay, such as potters clay or Critter Clay. Potters clay and Critter Clay can shrink and crack and flake or crumble, where Apoxie Sculpt doesn't shrink much, if at all, can be sanded and drilled, where potters clay

or Critter Clay will break apart if you try drilling and aggresive sanding.

Clay is used as a filler and to shape detail areas on the form and under the cape; eyes, nose, around skull plate, adding wrinkles etc. Apoxy sculpt is used primarily for finish detail work over the skin; nostrils, eye lids, inside nostril, and repairing broken antlers, etc. Apoxy sculpt can be painted, clay not so much.
