    Ted, how did you restore those Kudu horns. I had a well known taxidermist do my African mounts, and he left the horns of my Kudu and Nyala looking like burnt railroad ties, what's the trick?

    AZrich has a really good tutorial on here somewhere for restoring african horns. My modified version is basically thompsons paste wax then bees wax, crayola crayons (greens, yellows, oranges, browns etc.) Work it in with a heat gun. Rub Dirt in and repeat until that burnt to hell look is gone. Then some stick pastels if im feeling it, adds some character and depth. I then hit with the last coat of fine dirt and then lightly rattle can satin poly.

    Thank you Ted, you are obviously a gentleman. I have asked that question on several forums, and have seen the threads degenerate into name calling contests without addressing the actual question.
