Moose degreasing

Discussion in 'Skulls and Skeletons' started by BearBonz, Oct 8, 2018.

  1. I’ve been doing moose for quite a few years. I have tried every tub and container I can find where I live. And still have not found one that is good for the degreasing process due to the shape of the antlers. Even caribou are a pain most often. Anybody have any pics of their containers? TIA

    Stuart and socalmountainman like this.

  3. That's nice!! I actually have a friend making me one kind of like that. Does the rubber stop the water from leaking out?

Yes it does, leaks a slow drip sometimes. I just keep topping it up. However I have only used it a few times, so we will see how it holds up.

I use heavy zip ties around the antler and rubber to seal it up. Along with the clamps you can see in the picture.
