Use A Sable Form For A Roan?

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by buck_wild, Nov 2, 2018.

  1. My 2D reference shows they have very similar facial structure and features. Best I can tell is maybe the roan is a little wider in the muzzle area. Without access to live animals I can't be for sure. Most forms have approx same measurement from eye-nose. Roan appear stockier in the neck/shoulders. Anyone with experience here? The roan forms are very limited. I'm wanting to do a Roan wall pedestal similar to the McKen SA-5638
  2. Just buy a roan and alter it to wall ped, sable is smaller and different shape neck.

Any Roan form you buy wont have the right shape anyway if the Sable is closer in size buy it I've done Roans on Sable forms and they work just fine, they are closer than you think
