so ive started using beetles and wondering how you gauge when to pull the skulls out. I’ve not been able to time it properly and have left little bits that take a lot of work to get cleaned off or gotten holes in skulls by leaving to long. How do you know when enough is enough?

  2. When the flesh has hardened I hang for 7 days to let the eggs hatch and beetles exit. etc. if too much is left I then place into water for 12-24 hrs then back in the beetles.

Everything stays for at least 7 days. I add a skull daily, and remove one daily.

Thanks. I'm not cycling heads at that rate by any means.
This last one I pulled up onto the shelf in freezer at 4 days and let it sit for 3 more days, that seemed to work well.
