    30 mph winds and temps in the 30's....no hunting for us. So I put together the first customer bird for the year.

    Lol. Yes. I finished last year's in October before I quit to go hunting. I don't get very many. Last year I had 23 customer birds. ...this year I've only gotten 11....

    Bucksnort....hell if I know. Most I've ever got was 23. I did my 23 and 61 wholesale last year. Might be my work...or my prices. I'm the highest priced around here.

    I know Pete did a post about justifying price increases . . .

    But one can justify it all they want to themselves. It is still up to what the customer is willing to spend. So easy to price oneself out of the market. Regardless of the perceived value.

    I don't know what it is. We don't advertise and we've been in business for 5 years now. Last year I got on Facebook..... didn't want to, but EVERYONE told me I'd get a ton of customers....I haven't gotten one. EVERY time I post mount pictures on my page I get a bunch of"likes" and comments, but no actual customers. However I do get several Taxidermists that will PM me wanting to know if I do Wholesale.. Which honestly I prefer to retail, so if I do run out of birds I guess I'll start making calls.

    When I say I'm the highest priced...I'm $250. There's one other guy about 50 miles from me that's $250 also. Everyone else is $185-225. However I do guarantee everything back by October.....but apparently saving $40 is better than getting your mount back before next hunting season.
