I am new to taxidermy with only a few mammals under my belt. I am planning to do a pheasant soon. When selecting a form I see some are listed as flying and some standing. Some don't have a description. Are the forms specific to the pose or are they universal?

    Thank you

They can be interchanged. The only difference I've ever seen is in the tail bone area. You can modify the form to go either way...tail up, straight out, or down.

Flying forms have the thigh/drumstick joint set higher on the form.
