Whats a good bactericide to use in your rehydrating and pickling solutions ?
Safety acid sold by most supply houses. It will bring down the pH as low as you want it to go.
I just use the small bottle of concentrated lysol, another one is PD 64 by Spartan chemicals, although I haven't purchased that in awhile
The question perplexes me some, but I use nothing for bactericide other than acid. Straight water to rehydrate a salted skin/cape and the acid pickle is low enough ph to be inhospitable to bacteria.
thanks for the info ,i will be trying the saftee acid for sure
I have used Basacryl NBKU in rehydrating solutions, not needed in pickling solution though.
The absolute best is nothing at all..
