I found a dead pufferfish at the beach, about half-inflated, fresh enough to be in decent shape. I put it in rubbing alcohol, and it's still in there. That was a couple years ago, and I'm not loving the "dead thing in jar" look. It's hard to see details.

What else could I do with this? Could I diaphonize it? I know dermestids won't touch it now that it's been soaked in alcohol, but is there any other thing I could do to get the bones out without ending up with a heap of disassembled fish bones? Could I mummify it?

I have, but it doesn't really do much. Live ones are much cuter.
