I had an old mount I stripped. I took the fins off, they were falling off.. I still need to put them back on.. I used Walmart paint, a 20 dollar airbrush and charcoal. I didn't even have black paint because it was in the wifes car at work. lol I have a lot of work, but I'm proud of my 1st fish attempt considering the tools I had available at the time. I couldn't take it anymore, I HAD TO PAINT SOMETHING... lol

You did a really good job for your first fish. And using craft paint from Wal mart. Job well done! Just think how good you'll be after your first 100.

Which is the fish you painted? Not too shabby for a first attempt.

When I click on the attachment at the bottom, I see the same fish but with different paint jobs, hence my question. The markings on the back are different as well as other things.

OK, as I said, not too shabby. I myself find it hard to paint a fish that looks like it was painted by the Man upstairs when it was created, such as brookies, pumpkinseeds and others.

Great job Brad! I know that anxiety of wanting to get a fish painted all too well! Considering the 'suppliers' you had available (Walmart et al) the results are fantastic! You have no where else to go but up now!

You said you used Walmart paint, what was it and how did you apply it?

George The older I get, the better I was.

It not the size of the dog that bit you, it's the size of the bite in the dog. Cheap airbrushes can work miracles in the hands of an artist. Good job.
