LOL. You're late George. I got grumped at back in Feb. :) But you are right, nothing there that Google didn't provide.

As for fish taxidermists, Mathias Fahrni frightens me with his realism. I don't think he does customer mounts though and he is in Europe.

Not a Bass, but here is a brook trout and yellow perch Mathias did.

Ron Kelly or his son Josh Kelly (who just won Texas State Champion for fish or replica) both do excellent fish, largemouth bass included. They are about as good as anyone IMHO...and they will answer your calls. You can look them up at www.fishcreations.com

5497522B-05EC-4567-83FD-CF7B7D9D9892.jpeg I was at the local fair last night and noticed a familiar looking bass. I was going to send him this picture but this thread popped up when I googled his name

But if Mathias did your bass it would have to be under 5 inches

WOW! 4.5 years since putting down my deposit and 4 years since last hearing from him, some faith in the world has been restored.

Dan definitely was a fella that was not charging nearly enough for the work he did. Really amazing stuff

Do they get any better???? If I caught the fish of a lifetime and it meant that much to me then money's no object.

Everyone has a little different style. Just depends what you prefer. Jimmy Lawrence is probably my favorite bass painter right now.

  14. I think it depends on the sub species of Largemouth. I took in a very fresh Florida strain. It looks almost identical to Ron Kelly's.. Dark blue green on the back. Ron painted one at the world show that is so close.

Jimmy does a very good northern strain.

Yes they can be a variety of colors in between.
