I've seen on the world wide web, many people using stain and varies other methods to "re-color" bleached out antlers. Recent I tried something different in my skull cleaning process which has lightened the base of the antlers a bit. I've stained a few in the past, but they've always been very bleached out. With the current situation, the antler is still hard and doesn't seem to take the stain.

Any suggestions on what to try or tricks to getting stain to work? Thought about breaking out the air brush, but worried the paint will have tendency to chip or flake.

BTW, the lightened antlers came from adding oxiclean to the simmer...worked great on the skull, but surprised me how it discolored the hardened antler.
