Starting A New Big Tank

A couple months ago I went through the entire tank and did my best to kill all the ham beetles and of course didn’t get them all. But I slowed them down long enough I got about 20 deer heads and some small game heads done and finally got to the point the ham beetles are thick again. So started a new colony in a small box and eventually will replace the old ham beetle infested one with this one.

So what’s the best way to prevent ham beetles from invading?

I have the hams in both of my colony’s but nothing has slowed down still cleaning a deer head in two days. I really don’t know what to do because nothing has changed. Anyone got any ideas or input PLEASE let me know.
