I will be skinning a wolf for taxidermy next week that has been frozen whole since December. I'm concerned that the ears have dried out and it's going to be an issue to skin the cartilage in the ears. Is there a trick to re-hydrating them to make things go easier or will I just have to deal with them as they are? Thank you.

Stop Rot spray it on when still frozen and every now and again as it thaws. I do this on all fur bearers to not only rehydrate but to help lesson the chance of the hair slipping as they are know to do. Those will thaw out long before any other part of the critter.
