If your referring to the fish I posted yesterday, not appreciated. My second fish ever painted. I couldn't really afford to purchase the 240 dollar blank and was a deal I couldn't pass up if you need to know it was from Archie Phillips signature series close out, not from the mail box. Thought this was a critique free forum. and if wanted opinions I would've asked! Oh ya I did it for my sons b day of a fish he caught a while back.I will keep on painting, and when I am able, I will buy one of those 240 dollar ones! Have a great day!, Sincerely, Winston

Very nice job on your 2nd paint job Winston. You definitely have some natural painting abilities.

Yes looks good ,and just cause you pay more for a replica doesn't mean it will be better,I've bought alot of expensive junk.

Nice job painting the bass. I think the jokes are because the Anatomy of the fish. Looks like it has a broken tail. Which is not your fault at all. Again nice art work

Since OldYeller started a critique, I feel I need to defend you! Yes, nice job especially for a second fish. There's a couple of minor issues but yes that tail! I don't know about broken, but it looks HUGE for that fish. It appears as the tail is going in, not out. If so it's probably for another fish much bigger. If I were you I would grind off the last 1/2" of material and touch up the edge and I think that alone will make it look a lot better. Otherwise, very nice for a second paint job! And it will mean so much to your son coming from you!

  9. Winston, I have not done very many fish but I have done a few and I think you did a great job. I am sure your son will be very happy with it ! Keep up the good work. Looks great.

    whoa!!
    Sorry if I offended....
Rich asked a question, I tried to answer it. No critique, no judgement.
the blank is obviously hand made! anatomy is terrible, fins oversized, undersized, and out of place! should have stayed a mail box!
And yes this is a critique free page, but since the beat down, I will chime in...
You truly know how to paint, and your son will love it!
but I must say it would have looked much nicer on a better blank.
what I see is a beautiful Porsche paint job on an old jalopy.

Thanks, I guess I need to be more mindful of the blanks I will use, and thanks for the kind comments on the paint job, and to everyone else thanks. Winston
