i have a guy that gave me a dry tanned deer cape. I was wondering what’s the safest way to hydrate. I’ve heard that dry tanned items don’t last that long if they have been tanned for some time when you hydrate them they will fall apart. Need some help

The one we all follow is 4oz.salt per gallon of water plus some fabric softener addded to make the water wetter. Soak for twenty minutes, drain, bag, place in fridge overnight.

Now with that said I might want to do a smaller area and see how that acts.

Also you may still hydrate and get no stretch.

You won’t know until you try it.
