Preserving My Dog

    can anyone recommend a fantastic taxidermist to preserve my beloved chihuahua? She has just passed and my husband and I wish to have her preserved.

    I live in San Diego, however I can travel to bring her.

    Before you make any choice, ask to see photos of what they have done in the past. Also look into freeze drying. Just remember, no matter what method is used, the mount you get back will never exactly look like your pet. No taxidermist can capture the spirit and personality that you knew. It will be your pet but it will be .. different.

    maybe like pet semetary. it could come back as yours, but not the same

    YEs, freeze drying is what I want. It’s a conundrum deciding about this, we have buried all of our previous pets but this one, somehow is so different-I just want her to look like she is sleeping in her little bed, right now we just can’t bear to bury her.
