Something is eating the fur on my bobcats feet. The body has yet to be affected. Is there anything I can do to stop it? Can this mount be salvaged? I’d appreciate any advice.

    Thank you

Bag it and bug bomb it and then put in the freezer, if you can. Once you are pretty sure the bug problem is handled, treat it with another form of residual bug killer and hide the damage with more habitat.

Dermistids! Spray it down with permethrin as well as every other mount you have in the room. Then treat them again every year hereafter. Permethrin will kill the bugs AND their eggs. You have a major bug issue here and it won't get better until you eradicate them.
