Great Lakes Brown Trout Paint Scheme

    Hello I'm having trouble getting the color right on this Brown trout it's a real skin mount when it dried it dried dark on the top and I need to get the top of the fish light as seen in picture any suggestions on paint scheme? Thank you 15713282989021391487286849850143.jpg

    Generally I’ll fog a white on top followed by metallic then then ( get yourself a color wheel) learn on how to either mix or layer colors.
    From what I see you have yellows, browns and greens on top of that brown.
    Practice on a white piece of paper to try and match it first before you paint it.

    Should you silver scale tip first then apply colors?

    A lot of folks do it after you paint but competition fish are done throughout the process
    It’s best when learning to tip after your fish is painted
