Can you mount a rug with a wet tan? Would you have to break the hide? or do you have to have it dry tanned? Thanks

Dry tanned! A wet tan would have to be dried, broken and oiled - in other words, turned into a dry tan.

    Ohh maybe said wrong above
Yes you need to have it wet tanned to mount.
From there it gets stretched for rugging .
Now if your not doing the rug and only mounting then get it dried tanned. Soak the head, bag it and mount it up in the morning. From there send it to the rugger. Even if you got it wet tanned, just mount the head, then hang to dry.
