Hey just a question. Can I use borax as I’m fleshing if I plan on wet tanning a deer shoulder mount?

Yes you can. Borax just acts like chalk for boxers gloves, it keeps things from sticking together and inhibits bacteria growth. Just be sure to rinse it thoroughly before applying your pickling/degreasing solution and tanner product. Hope this helps!

As stated wash it good prior to the pickle it’ll cause havoc on your pH if you don’t.
