Strange Question...

    Hello everyone.
I have recently purchased a coyote pelt with a mounted head (was to be turned into a rug eventually). Purchased knowing this, but the pelt smells disgusting. I believe it wasn't fleshed properly. I am wondering if there is anything I can do about this. The feet seem to still have bone in them as well. Pelt is definitely tanned, but it smells like it's decomposing. No hair loss or any other indication of break-down other than this odor. Would it be possible to have it taken somewhere to be rehydrated and cleaned properly? I'd love some suggestions. Thanks!

Tough to say without seeing it in person or not knowing who or how it was tanned if it was tanned and not dp
Take it to a taxidermist and let him look at it but make sure he tans skins .
