I don't mount very many life-size. Seems like the fur on a bobcat is always getting in the way. I was test fitting a hide last night getting ready to mount it Monday and I was wondering what would happen if I dried the head and face and maybe part of the under belly? Just leaving the stitching area (dorsal cut) wet or all of the hide wet then drying once sewed up?

Yep yep and yep!! Then take compressed air to it to dry it and then blow dry to fluff

Place it in a clothes dryer half full of towels (clean taxidermy towels) and put on "Air Dry" for 15-30 minutes. You will be very happy with the results
