I have a pretty good paint schedule that I was taught to use on my crappie. But, I need more silver added to my schedule and instead of misting my irredecents on the back and sides I think I want to try to be more specific about applying them to individual scales.
Also, fixing to start on my first crappie replica and was interested in a paint schedule for them. Do most guys just paint the replicas exactly as they do their skin mounts?

I do the same on both. I use bass belly white on the belly overlaid with silver pearl, then mist a little black green on the upper back, detail the markings with dark brown or black, tint the few reddish areas with gill red, clean the eyes and gloss.
