Another Award Winning Fish From One Of My Ponds

    Another award winning cast from one of the fish raised in one of my ponds. It was cast and painted by John Hardman. Won Best of Category Masters, Polytranspar, and Taxidermist Choice at the 2019 Colorado show.

    All out of large bluegills right now but hope to seine some up in the spring. I still have some large trout left here. http://bairdfishsales.com Don't wait to long if you're interested as they are going fast.

    is that biggest pond, with the full length walk, about 1/2 acre or so? how deep? and do you Aerate?

    I just received a few fish from Cecil and have to agree. The fish are great and packaged very well. One order took 3 days to get to me and the fish were still frozen. Cecil himself is very professional and I would recommend him to everyone. Thanks again Cecil!

    Brad yes that is the biggest pond out of four. It's only 9 feet deep maximum but averages 7 feet. I used to run a compressor and couple of diffusers 24/7 in the summer in the deepest water to keep it mixed, but stopped as it really isn't deep enough to be a concern. I do run a small compressor and diffuser next to shore in the winter to prevent potential winter kill if we get deep snow. Fortunately don't run that much anymore either as we rarely get deep snow anymore or thick ice. Some winters hardly any ice or snow at all as in this winter.
