Oryx Horn Question

    I've never had a set of oryx horns that look as bad as these. I normally rot them off with no issues. It looks like I'll have to split them on the underside after they rot to slip them off. Has anyone else had a similar set and how did you deal with them? 005.JPG 006.JPG

    Wow...now that's a problem! I would drill small holes in the backside, macerate until everything on the inside is consumed by bacteria. Then air dry for a couple of months.

    Joey has it right. No way you will be able to separate those deformed horns. Also i would inject some kind of bug deterrent /insecticide before filling and finishing up the holes.

    Thanks Joey and Rich. I definitely like that idea better than trying to split them. I really appreciate the input.
