Spotted Sea Trout Critique

    This is my first skin mount with artificial head. I would like to improve on my next one, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

    See lots of wrinkles on body
    Looks like gill cover also covers your pec fin
    Colors- learn to soften and get some good real reference not mounted fish pics
    Get you a large mouth to try your skin mount,
    Salt water also pose other issues,,,,FAT,,,
    Just my 2 cents

    Thank you for your suggestions. I knew the thin skin on the fish would be challenging . I previously did a small red fish skin mount and the thicker skin was easier to work with. Any suggestions for the wrinkles for the next one? The peck fin gave me a little trouble with the artificial head. It was not a perfect fit. My next attempt will be a repro trout to try and work on the colors and painting. I will also take your suggestion for a skin mount bass. Thanks once again.
